Hello! Hi! You’re anxious. You keep checking the rectangle that makes your eyebrows do that thing.

Listen. Things are weird. Those who tell you otherwise haven't been paying attention or have a very nice yard. We can be worried and alive at the same time. Joy isn't denial. Take 30. Throw the toy.

I think every country has every right to be anti-American but at the same time if you’re tut-tutting that Americans aren’t doing enough to overthrow their government while your own government is happily facilitating and supporting what the US is doing…maybe also do something about that?

In a wholesome moment. Some of the guys on my team have a group chat.
Its about when they eat yogurt and what toppings they have. For a group of guys in their 20s-30s having a secret yogurt group chat is a surprisingly mundane thing

I can't say this loudly enough: THEY ARE TRYING TO NORMALIZE THE KILLING OF CIVILIANS FOR PARTICIPATING IN FIRST AMENDMENT PROTECTED PROTEST ACTIVITIES.
Homan: "We gotta stop the hateful rhetoric. Saying this officer is a murderer is dangerous. It's just ridiculous. It's gonna infuriate people more which means there's gonna be more incidents like this."

So, UK folks, time to contact your MPs and ask them to demand that all UK Government Comms be taken off X because it's a cesspool and is under investigation by Ofcom and could be blocked in the UK

Do it quick, before Ofcom caves. Add some stats about the lack of engagement if you have them

“bsky is boring!”

1) good
2) social media should not be a cornerstone of your everyday entertainment
3) I find new artists to follow every day and look at pretty art endlessly on here when I feel like it
4) get a tactile hobby where you create something with your hands
5) read book
6) walk outside

I've decided to stop calling it "Twitter." Used to do that as an insult to Musk, a denial of his reality. But Twitter is dead and buried forever. It's just X, the Nazi site for Nazis, and that's all it will ever be. Get the fuck off.

The end goal of Grok sexual harassment is to make women afraid to be visible. It’s a punishment for daring to exist in a way the perpetrators can’t control. There’s no one solution to this, because the problem isn’t just technological. It’s cultural. It’s misogyny. This is just one expression of it.

Bought sister and her kids a board game for Christmas, because we all like them. Age appropriate, researched, uses cooperation, imagination, all good stuff. Recorded 10 minute video explaining it to them. She didn't watch it.
Got a call complaining it was "a lot of rules and talking and thinking"

If I listed my 2025 lowlights it would be a lot.
I did it at one point this year just to see if I was being rational.
Its been a stressful fucking year.
Good things have happened too, but they dont negate the bad.

Thanks to a friends wife being struck by Christmas lurgy I got to see All My Sons last night.

Can I say WOW. And also wow who would have guessed that people would still be horrible war profiteering, corner cutting, selfish monsters 80 years after the play was written. Hauntingly relevant to today.

This year has been one of huge ups and downs. One of my biggest ups is that I have read or listened to 61 books.
Actually more as I didn't track reading many trades of comic books. Power Fantasy, Die, Walking Dead, Wicked and Divine, Once and Future King. Probably topping 65.
Thank you adhd meds

A billion dollars is the socio-economic equivalent of a loose nuke, and we should work to prevent the acquisition of the former with the same urgency and ruthlessness we use to prevent the acquisition of the latter.
This is obscene. Why can't other politicians say that?

The 25 richest families are collectively $358.7 billion richer than a year ago, with a combined fortune totaling $2.9 trillion.

The study is from a few years ago, but it's useful to note that when we tested more frequently, we really were identifying a higher percentage of Covid infections, even using rapid tests

It's worth grabbing a few tests and running them before you go to see vulnerable family members
Holiday gathering reminder 🎁

If your guests test w/rapids twice before the event, 48 hours apart, it’ll catch 63% of Covid cases even if they have no symptoms. Testing 3x improves that to 79%!

This is how we curb the annual January surge that gave me Long Covid—thanks for protecting yr community 🤍

I am dressed far more femme than usual. There is a skirt! Above the KNEE. (Thick tights. The tights have shiny stars on)
I forget gender things effect me honestly. Both internally, in how I feel, and how other people treat me.
