Like Dominic Cummings, Morgan McSweeney helped deliver electoral victory but, in doing so, debased and subverted everything his party claimed to stand for.

While celebrating McSweeney’s resignation, I don’t think Starmer should necessarily go next. He has a moment to pivot to reform and transparency. He can still change the political culture if he wants to. People can surprise you. Think of Zelenskyy. Live in hope

Here, on the ABC, is an entire article on Victorian bushfires ... with not a single mention of climate change www.abc.net.au/news/2026-02...
Why Victoria is prone to 'some of the scariest fires' in the world
Some of the world's most destructive bushfires take place in the southern state. Its unique mix of fierce winds, high fuel loads and rugged terrain are to blame.

If economists want to talk about crowding out, they should have a very strong look at the gas industry

Building new mines that are not needed (80% of gas is exported), and are terrible for climate change, take workers away from build roads, rail.. and homes.

Please spread this far and wide, as stories don't get much bigger than this. When the government blocks even the intelligence services from telling us we're heading for environmental catastrophe, you know we have a problem. A very big problem.
Thank you.

Over 40,000 protestors killed in Iran reports suggest. Why is there no the same level of outrage about this as there is (and should be) over similar fatalities in Gaza? Is it just lack of access to media?

I wanted to find debut authors who almost talked at Adelaide Writers' Week. These are 21 folks I've identified so far but *please* let me know who I've missed or mixed up.
