The "people use Bing?" comments in this really show how much people don't understand about how alternative search engines work

DDG uses Bing, Startpage uses Bing, Ecosia uses Bing, Qwant uses Bing, Kagi DID use Bing but the pricing got bad, many of these also use Google. People don't get this.
Bing has blocked neocities and all user subdomains from its search index.

We’ve spent months trying to resolve this through official channels and gotten nowhere.

Until this gets resolved, we are recommending that people do not use Bing.

In response to announcement that he will be a new CBS contributor, Andrew Huberman tweeted “I’ve always gone issue-by-issue on health & science, spoken to experts w/a range of takes & presented where I see the center of (data) mass pointed. I’ll do the same with @CBSNews”. In Sept he posted this:

Many AI diehards will smugly go "you don't realize everyone in the industry is using it they just aren't saying it" which isn't true, but if it was then all of you can climb into dumpsters together

I’m seeing a lot of soft takes from industry mutuals at the moment that we shouldn’t be so hard on those who use generative AI because it’s becoming harder and harder to resist.
Wrong. Betraying your ethics (and your peers) because ‘everyone else is doing it’ does not suddenly make it acceptable.

If a news article or video has been online for more than ten minutes, please assume it has already been posted to reddit and search for it first before posting it again

Based on the replies I'm going to guess this is in fact because of how many spam sites there are hosted there and not whatever ideological things people blame this on
