In "things that might actually destroy the industry", last week's AI subs & dubs farce opens up a possibility that anything that isn't an highly anticipated adaptation or has a number in front would get something "cost conscious" that makes it *literally* unwatchable if you don't know the language.

We as a society need to move on from viewing the 80's OVA boom as this glistening magical world of "muh aesthetic" and realize 80% of it was actual slop that companies were peddling because the format was cheap and easy to use for a period of time.
