It's a moral argument that I can't figure out.

The US bombing Israel creates a situation where antisemitic attacks increase exponentially to the point of pogroms around the world.

Let's say we push a binational state (not guaranteed), what happens to the thousands of Jews that don't want that?

I've been fighting all this in my mind for the past couple years:

Jews need a homeland for their safety because *history*.

Palestinians need a state to live with dignity.

Israel continually overreacts and even goes against the US to the point of helping our enemies.

Someone told me the bare minimum of what should be done is to treat Israel like any other nation on Earth and I think that would be correct.

Sanctions are necessary, especially after the past year.

Bibi has to go.

But I don't know how to square the "Jews need a homeland" with all this.

Jews are *literally under attack around the world* so you can't just bomb Israel and rename it Palestine, damn the consequences.

But you also can't ignore the general feeling among Americans about Israel. We don't feel that they are allies.
