Although I would love to hear your extended thoughts on Night in The Woods. There's so much room for essays in that game thanks to how poignant and versatile its themes are. It has a lot to say, but I have a feeling that far too many people missed the message entirely.

If you try to put yourself in a box based on what others want, you might still do great! After all, writing (and video essays by extension) is an art AND a craft.

But I would rather hear/read/see something you yourself are passionate about, rather than what your audience believes is best.

I'm gonna go with the others who said "whatever you're most passionate about at the time".

I'm of the strong belief that these things come out best when you can't NOT tell the story, when you can't NOT explore an interesting topic.
