Perhaps because we are fighting on too many fronts to summon the energy. Maybe we need to redirect those energies to the long game, ultimately the intergenerational game - but that doesn't fit well with election cycles.

I said enough for now, but there is an interesting dichotomy in this speech. On the one hand (& at the outset) there is this lamentation of the loss of (delegation of) power (a claim to centralize power) & then there is the appeal to markets & choice (real or not). Which does she really want?

This interview, actually a speech, sets up the ideological challenge for the next election in Alberta.
Let's leave it at that for now, but unless progressives want to keep reacting they/we need to articulate a clear progressive vision for education, health care & the environment.
