Yesterday the first *major* feature that my teams have been responsible for that I have done the full dev cycle on went live and I cannot understate just how happy and proud of the team I am. We have been working hard at improving the new player experience and seeing the reactions has been fun

It’s actually very *not cute* to hate on production for example 💅 listen, I know there’s a lot of bad producers out here masquerading as competent and ruining it for the rest of us but still I promise I’m going to make your life way better if you work WITH me instead of against
I'd love for designers especially to be mindful of this (or anyone we directly collaborate with). If you admit to general contempt for the discipline even before we start to work together, well then it gets real awkward for us you know? And it's hard to trust you'll keep our interests at heart.
I'm going to be honest it is unpleasant to work in the discipline within the games industry that people seem to have especially-reserved venom for. Nobody seems really intent on calling out, eg, video game sountracks they think are middling as if it's really important to yell about.
