I think there's a serious issue with people believing that negative reception to a game is somehow "more honest" than positive reception, and that if someone hates something, they are to be trusted. It leaves little room for honest, dissenting opinion.

That said, there is something unpleasant about making people wait 8 years for a game that, behind the scenes, was, at its very core, never meant for them, while also charging full premium + several upsells.

I find incredible how each showcase of Metroid Prime 4 makes everyone more apprehensive to it. As expected, the game is not open world and there is quite a bit going on in Sol Valley, good stuff... Only for MCU guy to come in and bring it all down. Probably still better than Prime 3, low bar but eh.
