I'm not some highly paid pundit, nor a historian, and hell, I only have a communications degree from a state universtiy, but I have to think that the thing that is most troubling for the rest of the world is not the president — but that neither our Congress nor our SCOTUS are stopping him.

Whistleblowers just shared a memo showing DHS instructing ICE to force their way into peoples' houses without a proper warrant. Why is this not on all the networks right now? This is a criminal conspiracy to violate rights under color of law.

No one can be watching this Davos speech and reach any conclusion but that the President of the United States is mentally disturbed and that something is deeply wrong with him. This is both embarrassing and extremely dangerous.

Sixteen years ago today, #SCOTUS handed down its infamous Citizens United ruling that ignited a rush of money into American politics. This decision has since dangerously expanded the already outsized political power of the wealthiest donors in our elections. www.brennancenter.org/our-work/res...

Chuckling at the people in the U.S. who consistently shit on people who live in "red" states... Well according to others in the world, the entire US is now a "red" state. Not so easy to overthrow authoritarians, is it?

Trump grabs headlines around the world for a mentally unhinged letter to Norway's PM. He then engages in largely incoherent verbal drool for 2 hours exhibiting clear signs of advanced senile dementia. So WaPo posts a headline and dek that Glavlit would gladly have approved in 1950s Moscow.

🚨Hospitals have a different programs where we volunteer a certain number of hours/month to NODA (No One Dies Alone). This was my first thought. She died alone. She didn’t have to, but ICE forced that last bit of indignity. 8 minutes.

The funding taxpayers pay for ICE should assure that the people in these concentration camps get care, but the contempt and outright ignorant bigotry of Trump and his supporters always lead to cruel abuse of those they deem “other”.
So now the’re death camps.
1. ICE has STOPPED PAYING for medical treatment for its 73,000 detainees

ICE has not paid its bills to 3rd party providers since OCTOBER and the situation will likely persist for MONTHS, a Popular Information investigation reveals

Meanwhile, critically ill ICE detainees are not receiving care

“American hegemony…helped provide public goods: open sea lanes, a stable financial system, collective security and support for frameworks for resolving disputes. So, we placed the sign in the window.

Hungary is again trying to sabotage EU unity, with FM Szijjártó blocking a joint EU statement against Trump's Greenland threats.

Meanwhile, Russia is celebrating Trump's moves, which risk destroying NATO entirely.

I see why Lavrov awarded Szijjártó the Order of Friendship.
