One of the most impactful films I ever saw was Machetero (2008). Recommend. 🇵🇷

I personally got the LAST ONE! Mwa ha haaa!!! (But I shared it 😇). The Bad Bunny 🥨 with brown sugar, cinnamon, clove and coconut was so fucking good.
We are sold out! Sorry and thanks so much. I'll make more next time. It's so hard to judge the demand.

oh hey would you look at that… France first started using the guillotine in 1792 when Saturn was in Aries

A lot of fantasizing about the guillotine since Neptune entered Aries and I really *seriously* can't wait to see what happens when Saturn joins in. 🪐

There was a porn shop near my college in Southern MD that was an unmarked windowless building with big letters on top that just said BOOKS, and we all called the place "Books." Reading this post is the first time it ever occurred to me that "Books" might not really have been the name of the shop.
What if we just put up a giant sign that says Books

Brother if reading the Epstein files and seeing the world’s richest white men OPENLY PLAN how to kill off the poor and non-white of the world doesn’t convince you to:

- get vaccinated
- wear a mask
- take care of your fellow man and neighbor
- look out for children

You’re lost.

Oh, I get it. It never mattered if the development of AI was successful or profitable or people liked it or used it at all – all that mattered was that we get to the point where nobody fully trusts anything they see, reality is always questionable, and plausible deniability rules. Proof evaporates.

Trayvon Martin should be turning 31 today. He should be surrounded by friends and loved ones celebrating him.

He and his family were robbed of that because a grown man stalked him and killed him.

Without accountability.

Compersion is legitimately one of the best traits i have cultivated in myself over the last couple years.

compersion isn’t just a polyam concept btw, you can feel it in lots of contexts! ex: other trans people self-actualizing.

it’s delightful to celebrate other’s joy in addition to your own. 💕🥰

No need to imagine. The country incarcerates children as young as 9 years old daily in youth prisons and jails. Those children are routinely sexually and physically assaulted and also emotionally tortured. They are fed terrible food and given barely any education. This country has done this for yrs.

Today I saw ICE gas little white kids in the streets of Portland with chemical weapons. Imagine what they're doing to brown and black kids in the detention camps

The spirit that I read the people who are saying 'we warned you about this' wrt to the imperial boomerang & other types of roosting chickens we are dealing with right now, exceptions aside, is less about trying to be right than it is about hoping that if there is a next time they will be listened to

But, anyway, while I am a deeply political animal most of my political work is done offline. This shall continue. My politics are clear, both in how I live and in my written work, and my social media is not apolitical. It's just not where I organise.

But what folks don't realize, is that an antiblack society is a society built around death. Slaughter and necromancy ass settler colony. The violence is *never* limited to only Black people, and by not opposing Black death, you give you ok for ALL manner of life to be obliterated by this society.

The reason why you don’t know how to process what is happening is because you found it permissible when you were under the illusion it could only happen to other people.

I think a lot of us get hope wrong. Hope, I do not believe, is an emotion. In fact, hope makes space for lots of emotions to exist alongside it. You can DO hope scared, angry, sad etc...

Hope doesn't find us. We make hope through action and struggle. It's a practice of living and is re-made daily.

Go ahead and make fun of people who rush out to buy milk before a snowstorm – I just know you have a sad little life where you don't even care about being able to drink hot chocolate while gazing out over the quiet blanket-covered land sparkling with frost.

I keep seeing leftists from outside of Minneapolis say they’ve seen all this before, and no, you haven’t. I’ve been at this for 30+ years and I haven’t either. It’s not what you’re picturing. This is something else
I know people keep saying this but it’s hard to communicate the depth of active resistance here. Like, I’m on random cafes and people are checking in for observation shifts. Signs everywhere. Folks in visibility vests on the corners. It’s wild. Absolutely wild.

I've never seen a population more united. If people can hold onto that unity, if people can accept that different people will have different ways of confronting fascism, if we can remind NGOs and orgs that they can join but not control the resistance, then, well, people here will write history.
