Why do pessimists seem to have a monopoly on the term "realism?" Optimists can be realistic too! For example:
Optimistic: I put on an actual shirt with a collar for Thanksgiving day
Realistic: ...and sweatpants.

Interesting that @frame.work 's "big tent" no longer seems to include Mastodon or BlueSky, but does continue to include promoting people who would harm others in that tent over on Facebook.
I guess it's easier to shut down dissent over there, as Myanmar has already shown.

As if we didn’t already have enough problems with public trust in journalism and the collapse of local news, someone thought it would be a good idea to add dynamic AI pricing to the mix.
Another reason to hate AI… it decided that I should pay over 2x as much for an @mlive.com subscription! Did it just scrape tax assessor data and decide we’re rich? Just going to cancel.
