It's the holiday season, and my husband refuses to let me share my religion, which is Adidas track suits, with our children. I just want to share the good news!

It cost me $148 dollars this year *with good insurance* just to confirm that my daughter did not need stitches. 2k ain’t gonna cover shit.
“Giving money to the people” is code for cutting a check to a health savings account.

That’s not health insurance. It’s smoke in mirrors. $2K in your pocket won’t cover a fraction of a major medical need (procedure, hospitalization, ER visit).

Don’t buy the nonsense.

I have seen four or five tik toks, full of footage from national media, saying that the national media is not covering the flooding here or that THEY are intentionally hiding it. It's insane. My aunts in Ohio and Missouri don't have tiktok but SOMEHOW they know enough to call and ask if I'm okay.

I love good news.
Amazing!! Women Help Women (womenhelp.org) is manufacturing their own abortion pills in order to make abortion safer, simpler and more accessible across borders. They designed an eco-friendly combi-pack that's easier to mail discreetly and centred around women’s experiences and needs.

I don't really have many feelings about traffic revisions, but everytime I drive by this stupid change I question who the hell this is for. It's so dumb.

This is what happens when the FBI is run by two right-wing conspiracy theorist podcasters who spent the last 11 months purging almost anyone with institutional knowledge from the bureau. They're going to keep fucking this kind of thing up.

I really think the loss of shame is at the core of this. We need to bring back shame. Bleach-blonde Botox people should not be able to tell us that they don’t put “toxins” in their bodies when it comes to vaccines.
I think about this, also in terms of vaccines, and really struggle with how you have a free society that doesn’t fall into this trap in one way or another. solved problems become invisible and the solutions become the source of conspiracy theories.
This seems logical but Dems solved* the whole problem of old-age health care costs in the mid-1960s and then they lost five of the next six presidential elections because by 1968 it was a solved problem and no one cared about it.

*Yes oversimplifying here and the rest of course.

The southbound viaduct genuinely felt like you were gambling your life every time. I know that’s generally life in America but it always felt ominous.
And the more recent transformation in Seattle has been amazing.

And importantly, executive orders are *NOT* laws.
That's great, but Congress doesn't need to "overturn" executive orders! Congress makes laws!
BREAKING: Democrats and Republicans in Congress just voted to pass the Protect America’s Workforce Act to restore federal workers’ union rights – the first time the House has voted to overturn a Trump executive order in this term. https://bit.ly/4oNyBQc
