Yesterday, the AZ Senate passed a resolution calling on @azagmayes.bsky.social to resign over her comments that an Arizonan could shoot federal immigration agents if they forcibly enter a home without a warrant. Gov. Katie Hobbs said Mayes should retract her remarks:

One of my VGK friends is blaming me for this. And, well, TK is my favorite player so, maybe?
All the credit to Travis Konecny for that game. Scored their only two goals, and they were both unassisted. About as much of a "put the offense on your back" game as a team leader can have.

Zach Whitecloud was my last favorite VGK player. Everyone whose jersey I have bought has been traded/not re-signed. If anyone wonders why I talk about the Flyers more these days — even when they are extremely bad — it’s because the Golden Knights are just so very hard to love as a fan.

I have largely stopped reading Heated Rivalry takes because people either don’t grok hockey or they don’t grok romance storytelling, and you apparently need at least one to even understand what you’re watching
My takeaway from some of these Heated Rivalry takes is that people who have never so much as watched a Hallmark Christmas Movie or read even a romance novel think they have points to make because they are unwilling to engage with Romance as a serious genre. And as a result, they sound stupid.

A highly entertaining OT, but bottom line, this was a disappointing loss. The Flyers really should have scored on the PP to make sure it didn’t get to overtime.

Salt in the wound for Coyotes fans. NHL fans often criticized the lengths Commissioner Gary Bettman took to keep the failing franchise in Arizona before the abrupt sale in 2024, but the Yotes never got to play in an outdoor game. Now the Mammoth get one less than three years after the sale.

I like Dvorak! But do I like him at 5x5.1? For that much term, would have liked to see a lower AAV. Because while it’s not the WORST signing (I’m a also a VGK fan, and believe me, I KNOW bad depth deals), I worry about all of this potential downside for the Flyers 👇🏼
A lot of downside risk on the Dvorak deal:
- regresses because this was a career year
- regresses because of age
- blocks higher-upside young players because of coach loving him
- blocks higher-upside young players because he regresses & they can't trade him
...and not a ton of upside. Welp.

Told Jason Robertson is being as professional as can be about not making Team USA. Obviously disappointed, knows he did all he can do and can only control what he can. Obviously, anything can still happen with injuries, and he'd be an obvious option if so
