we should def call em flutters instead of skeets
flutter is pretty and cute and uses the butterfly iconography and most importantly isn't trying to rip on Twitter by portmanteau-ing "sky" and "tweet". Is "skeet" the sound a sky makes??? nah these are flutters.

at this point it feels like most conservatives would think the holocaust justified if the Jews weren't citizens
lovelydumpling.bsky.social
that's cause that's just your normal :v

dude i am getting so much slop recommended to me by youtube lately it is

remarkably awful

they must have changed its recommendation algorithm to some ai bullshit or something because it has no fucking idea what its doing
it never used to just load my feed with shit I'm diametrically opposed to
lovelydumpling.bsky.social
it took me a while to realize the guy on the right was opposing the pastor because I forgot "defending the *rights* of illegal immigrants" is wrong to them
lovelydumpling.bsky.social
Oh, well that's fun.

I feel like wiimote aiming was the obvious idea/improvement, but I imagine because similar games were common on the wii they didn't want to do it
lovelydumpling.bsky.social
its so bizarre to me that Star Fox never got a Wii game
like you'd think it'd be the one game suited well to the wiimote from the onset

(despite saying this I don't mean to root against the fediverse. I've been meaning to give it another shot as things get worse here.)
lovelydumpling.bsky.social
sure, but I doubt they see fedi as a threat. If it was, people would be using it already, especially since it's been around longer than bluesky and the entire time bluesky was private, while twitter was still having its exodus, and still bluesky "won"

That's actually a huge part of what makes conservatives effective recruiters. Often times, people join these local gatherings for that sense of community, and then adopt their viewpoints to maintain that community.

I feel like liberals and leftists have fallen very short on these incentives.

the moment it became socially acceptable to hate trans people they just fucking jumped on that shit so fast
lovelydumpling.bsky.social
Hm, maybe they're on stairs

this is a really funny headline

tragic consequences but the headline reads like a meme

Could they make it to where you have to watch the video in its entirety to have a download? Or at the least, that it'd take as long as the video's runtime to download it?

You did say they could make it more annoying, and I think if it gets annoying enough for the *end user* they'll have still won.
lovelydumpling.bsky.social
oh huh
just got a sample ballot in the mail
for the california special election about the redistricting
the proposition actually has it set to be temporary, until 2030, with the independent districting board resuming its work in 2031
so its actually not a permanent end to independent redistricting

I feel like it's not talked about enough so I'm here to remind you that this absolutely insane rendition of Aerith's Theme is exclusive to Super Smash Brothers

Something annoying about drama farmers like Karl and Muta is that since its the core of their content, they can make a dozen videos about the same topic going on about it for hours, while nobody else has the time to defend themselves forever from their attacks. So they'll always get the last word.

Jirard was way over his head in a situation he did not have full control over. I think it was a very human predicament to fail at.
lovelydumpling.bsky.social
at least a little longer until they reached the million dollar donation goal his family had set and it was no longer a lie.
lovelydumpling.bsky.social
and the only way he can open up about that is to throw his family under the boss and destroy everything the charity has worked for to fight the illness he really does care about that took his mom's life...
I can see why someone in that situation might feel the need to continue the lie he inherited,
lovelydumpling.bsky.social
I also want to add its really easy to say he shouldn't have lied, but a lot harder to actually be in his shoes and not do it.
Like yeah, he shouldn't have lied. But considering he had thought for years this was indeed the way it was working, and then he learned suddenly that it wasn't,
lovelydumpling.bsky.social
I don't envy the position he was in, and while I disagree with his choices I don't think they were malicious.
Resigning from OHF and no longer trusting him to run fundraising sounds plenty reasonable to me. Getting harassed off the internet and completely losing his entire livelihood... is extreme.
lovelydumpling.bsky.social
Honestly he was between a rock and a hard place and was dumped into a situation he was aware of late after it'd already been like it for years, and was struggling to correct behind the scenes before it all blew up.

Maybe it's because he really did have no defense, or things to hide, but I also felt like he was likely restricted in what he even *could* talk about with both the legal aspect of things and with how integrated the charity was with his family.
