Bit pissed off, citizen of nowhere, anti - growth coalition.
The environment should be the No.1 issue for any UK govt and any party attempting to be elected. The catastrophy heading our way will consume us all, no matter your views on immigration.
Please spread this far and wide, as stories don't get much bigger than this. When the government blocks even the intelligence services from telling us we're heading for environmental catastrophe, you know we have a problem. A very big problem.
Thank you.

It took an FOI request to bring this national security assessment to light. For ‘doomsayers’ like us, it is the ultimate vindication, says Guardian columnist George Monbiot

There’s something weirdly convenient about discovering that Britain is broken only after you yourself have spent years running the place.

A coincidence, I’m certain.

(Warning: Swearier than usual).
Britain Is Broken. No One Knows How. No One Was There.
An amazing coincidence involving five former Conservative MPs who have shambled over to Reform UK. Weird.

MAGNA CARTA

Fun fact: it was originally written in Latin and translated into Norman French. Because they were the two dominant languages of the Church and State for well over 300 years after 1066.

This Labour govt is a disgace. They have gone after the poor, the disabled, asylum seekers and the trans community. Becauss of where I live I have leant my vote for at pretty much every election. Never again. Greens for me from now on. My consience will rule.

2. Then getting [rightly] very upset when someone wants to murder you.

Yes, it's the latest 'Hurty Words Update'.

I did English at undergrad, media & politics at PhD. I run a research agency (when I'm not writing), using linguistics & anthropology/ethnography skills I learned at university. Through this, I pay tax & I pay people. In a very literal sense, my degrees make an economic contribution

BUT... (1/2)
Badenoch and Co see education only as a means to a massive income in some soul destroying career.

Devoid of imagination and the power of knowledge they view life entirely through the prism of the CV.

My advice always is to study what interests you and the rest will follow

Nigel Farage has been a lifelong racist. He's been a racist since his school days. David Lammy was forced to apologise for saying Farage flirted with the Hitler Youth - but what do you call it when someone sings Hitler Youth songs? Read Chloe Deakin's letter on Farage's fascism and racism at school.

This. Mone can get in the fucking bin.
Here I am in 2020 in the flimsiest, most pitful PPE - like so many other NHS staff, some of whom died from the Covid they caught in their hospitals.

Tory peer Michelle Mone - who today lost her legal case & must repay the govt £122m - dares to claim she’s been ‘scapegoated’.

What, Michelle? 🧵

Former Tory peer Michelle Mone has called today’s ruling that PPE Medpro must give the taxpayer back £122m for supplying dodgy PPE an ‘establishment cover-up’. Utter nonsense.

Let’s ignore the rhetoric & look at the facts 👇
UK government wins £122m pandemic case against Michelle Mone-linked firm over faulty PPE
Trial heard 25m surgical gowns supplied by PPE Medpro to protect NHS staff were unusable and could ‘seriously harm or kill patients’

'Everyone who just applauded needs to think hard what they were applauding. Without significant immigration, this country will become a catastrophe.' /1

- Nigel Farage, 2016
Really, Reform UK? THIS is what you're going with? That this man, who served as an MEP next to Nigel Farage for years and was made leader of your party in Wales by current deputy, Richard Tice, is just "one of tens of thousands of people Nigel meets on an annual basis"?~AA

The fundamental problem with Versailles and Louis XVI was not that he was a stupid asshole with a lot of wealth, like Elon Musk.

But that he didn’t realise how many people didn’t have food to eat and would gladly build guillotines.

It gets very tedious that any time someone points out the, actually very obvious and evidence based, point that to stop more deaths in the channel you have to provide people with alternative, safer, routes to seek asylum in UK you inevitably get some dickhead saying "oh how many should we take". 1/
