So what’s going to happen with the (illegal) boat strikes? Will they continue or will they stop now that Maduro is gone? Will Trump now pretend that drug smuggling by water has ended?

Insane
Will "non-interventionist" MAGA go along? Yup.

A new WaPo poll finds only 40% overall approve of the Maduro capture and only 37% say this was appropriate without Congress.

But 80% of Trump voters support the capture and 78% are fine with not going to Congress. 6/

In November, Trump had declared no more wars of choice.

Now, they're the "conquest" party. And the millionaire misinformation sociopaths at Fox just read the scripts.

Which is what's making this entire escapade INFURIATING!

They're weaponizing their majority
By the way folks, THAT is the key person who decides what happens to any impeachment motion.

He is chair of the house judiciary committee, and without his approval no motion for impeachment, whether privileged or via discharge petition, will receive a hearing on the house floor.
HUNT: Do you support putting American boots on the ground in Venezuela for a long period of time?

JIM JORDAN: That's a question for later. I think most Americans trust the president to do what's in the best interests of the American people

Axios has some guy who was a staffer for a blue dog Democrat for six months in 1998 who they call up and pay with a nice dinner out to say whatever it is they want for the narrative so they can quote "staffers" "hill insiders" etc
So if I have this straight, Axios went out and found a couple of centrist congressional Democrats angry that their party is being critical of the takeover of Venezuela, and these members are so tuned in to the pulse of the voters that they would only speak anonymously

Insurance premiums doubled overnight for millions of Americans on January 1.

Over half of ACA marketplace enrollees say they’d go without insurance if premiums double. I’m one of them. We canceled our policy.

$3,000 a month isn’t health care. It’s a shakedown.

Right.

If you want a good explanation of why the American system of government worked well enough for 200 years and then suddenly stopped, it's because Republicans in Congress suddenly started letting their partisan interests COMPLETELY override their institutional interests
a lot of problems wouldn't exist if we had a congress with even an ounce of self interest
Honestly insane they didn't brief the gang of eight until it was underway
