Hugely honored to see THE SLIP win the 2025 Kirkus Prize in fiction. Thank you, Kirkus!
Thanks @nytimes.com for naming THE SLIP one of their 100 notable books of 2025. A fun aspect of promoting this book has been meeting other writers hawking their wares across the country, and it’s great to see many of them here too.

Growing up my friend lived on the same street as Wozniak and on Halloween he gave out full bars and we stanned for him then and we stan for him now.

Silicon Valley picked the wrong Steve to lionize.
Good old Woz. Good for him.

one thing i think is true is that republicans assumed that democrats would not respond in kind and that the forceful pushback spooked them (a lesson to learn here, perhaps)
Trump's corrupt scheme to rig 2026 is suddenly falling apart:

*Court strikes down Texas GOP gerrymander
*Indiana GOP lacks votes to redraw map
*Big Dem win in Virginia could give Ds more seats

On the pod, DLCC head Heather Williams is informative on what's next:

Trump’s Plot to Rig 2026 Is Falling Apart, and Boy Is He Mad About It
As the Trump-GOP scheme to gerrymander the midterms suddenly faces big new setbacks, a Democratic operative who’s leading in these fights explains why the battle isn’t over—and what must happen now.

Just heard re: some ICE agents who raided a Chicago taqueria, then went back to the same taqueria for lunch the following week and got confused when the owner kicked them out, and I realized "jesus these doofuses really do believe we're all living in a video game where the NPCs have no memory"

If you’re a “centrist” who is constantly criticizing those to your left trying to fix the country in ways you disagree with but never say anything about the white supremacists and fascists trying to destroy it, maybe you’re not in the “center” after all!

No one demanded the market distorting effects of personalist dictatorship more than capital, they should be happy with their choice. bsky.app/profile/carl...

Texas A&M is no longer a "university". It's a Vacation Bible School with a football team and parking problems.
Message to all faculty: your expertise is no longer trusted or valued at this so-called “university.”

NEW: @propublica.org investigated the Chicago apartment raid where kids were zip-tied and citizens detained for hours. They find:

- NONE of the arrested were criminally charged
- NO evidence the building was "filled with TdA terrorists."
- ZERO legitimate reason for DHS to rappel from a Blackhawk.

Too many of these politicians seem to think being friends with their colleagues regardless of party is more important than policy. Maybe we need to elect people who have friends going in.

We need to return to the idea that the buck stops with our leaders. The fish rots from the head. Can’t wait to be done with this insufferable loser.
Democrats have been fighting for months to address America's healthcare crisis

For the millions who will lose coverage
For people with cancer who won't get the care they need
For working families who can't afford to pay $25K more a year for healthcare

We will keep fighting
