What’s interesting is that recently I’ve been finding that a lot of older games are faster than modern games in many ways
SMT1 doesn’t have the long battle animations, bloated overworlds, chatty writing or the cutscenes of modern Megaten games and feels way faster because of it

people were complaining a while back that the switch 1 was holding back sonic games but I kinda disagree idk because frontiers and shadow gens cant even hit 4k 60 on next gen systems and shagens is stuck at 720p 60 on switch 2 I think those games are just poorly made if anything

I remember when the Nioh 3 trailer dropped ppl were saying that "oh this is basically like ninja gaiden" which is .. false ? 😭. Like in terms of how quick and brutal some of those enemy grabs and player attacks are but otherwise its still all 1v1s
