This is how ill-conceived the Liquid Glass design shift is, a real departure from Apple’s traditional approach. The Measure app’s level has a glass sheet that refracts, hides, and distorts the UI tick marks needed to perform the sole function of the app.

In which we discover that Tuft & Needle mattresses from 2018 use fiberglass and are basically asbestos. I always felt confident what the Tuft was and now think I have an answer for the Needle.

Watched 5th Element again recently, and during the Zorg office scene remembered I have some round windows. 3D printed tracks with grooves to snap-fit some tubing for a diffuser, 444 RGB LEDs.

I have a full sized induction range and wanted to verify @techconnectify.bsky.social's claim it's a way to get UK-tier water boiling performance, so I ran a test on 1L of water starting at 68ºF. Looks like 2m41s, but it was vigorously boiling 10-15 seconds before actually reaching 212ºF.

I'm waiting for the serious post about how some startup founder realizes that if you want to create art, write an email, design a widget, or analyze some data, you can just have some meat person come in and do that for a pretty reasonable amount of money.
