7 reasons why The Thing (1982) is a Christmas film:

1) snow
2) bearded men concealing surprises
3) compulsory party games
4) introverts shunning group activities
5) digestive issues
6) revellers bursting open to reveal partially assimilated canine lifeforms

So you knew I had to be making a Del for the Knights of Guinevere right? And of course she was gonna be some crooked crowner cop with a redemption arc and a murder-robot sidekick. Right?

From left the right. A large machine with tentacle arms, behind an police officer from the show Knights of Guienevere, with a blue robot arm and a stun stick. Next to them is the same character out of that outfit, a battle worm women with a blue metal arm, with short black hair and smoking. Around them are various facts about how she is a moraly grey person.

"I say I say I say, my dog's got no gnosis."

"No nose? How does it smell?"

[*angrily*] "He lacks any and all immanent knowledge or transcendent insight, such as was sought by Clement of Alexandria, Marcion or Simon Magus. What has smell to do with it?"

"I'm sorry, I misheard."

It depends on who's chosen you, and it varies greatly by what you've been chosen *for* really.

In the best case scenario you're chosen by the Wanderer or Wise One to serve as a moral lesson. Suffer the humiliation, learn some humility, pick up a little power to help others.

Question for the GMs, writers, and worldbuilders out there;

What exactly does it mean to be "Chosen by a God" in your setting?

Is it a good thing? Bad? Either or?

Does it even actually have any ties to a God, or is it just a title given by religious groups?

Ooh, I'll have to look for that. I've not read as much of Pico as I wanted on holiday but I like what I see! Feels a lot cosier and lower stakes than Wildsea

Ring The Bells book 5 of The Stranger Times series is out today!! Available everywhere.
Well, not newsagents.
Or hairdressers.
Almost no nail saloons.
Come to think of it - book shops. Really mainly available in book shops.

Time to storm into your local comic store and demand NOTHING BUT THE BEST (the new DIE Quickstart) and REFUSE ANYTHING LESS (than the new DIE Quickstart) because YOU'RE BETTER THAN THE REST (and so deserve the new DIE Quickstart)
Graphic reminding you to pre order DIE RPG. It's a black paper texture background, with red graffiti sprayed on it. The cover of the quickstart is centered, with the text DIE RPG quickstart edition at the top, and PRE ORDER NOW in all good comic stores*. In small text at the bottom the asterix is completed with *and probably some shite ones but that's not our fault.

once again i cannot emphasize enough that transphobia is almost entirely an elite panic. the overwhelming majority of people simply do not care—it is media and political elites who are obsessed with us and keep bending over backwards to justify and spread transphobia.

the idea that trans rights have swung elections to republicans is a fiction made up by media and political elites (both conservative and liberal) who are personally transphobic and want transphobia to be politically popular so they no longer have to hide how disgusting they think trans people are

It cannot be made clearer.

If you continue to support the Harry Potter franchise in any way, you are directly funding the removal of trans people's human rights in the UK.

Happy National Poetry Day to all those who celebrate.

This year’s theme is ‘play’ so here’s a poem which plays with some letters. It’s called ‘The Problem of Writing Poems in the Shape of Deciduous Trees’.
The Problem of Writing Poems
in the Shape of Deciduous Trees

[The poem has been written in the shape of a deciduous tree with letters (or ‘leaves’) missing from the text]:

then

[The missing letters from the tree have landed on the last line to form the phrase]

[The final ‘d’ is floating down to complete the phrase.]

OK. Last time.
A D&D Stirge detaches after draining 10 HP of blood. Therefore HP are a measurable unit of blood (I estimate 200ml per HP).

Characters with high HP might have hundreds of liters contained in their bodies at high pressure. Even light nicks tend to spray anime-style.
It's science.
