My dad found these games bundled with the original Mechwarrior in a three pack in a Costco or a Sam's Club or something one day when I was a kid, and knew I really liked Mechwarrior 2. Funnily enough though we got it mostly for Mechwarior I ultimately liked the other two games better lol

The sequel is a real time tactics game (and utterly evil at times in terms of difficulty) which is fitting for a Battletech game.
It's weird to call any Battletech game "obscure" considering how real known the franchise is, but when people talk about early games in it I seldom hear these mentioned.

The sequel is a real time tactics game (and utterly evil at times in terms of difficulty) which is fitting for a Battletech game.

Battletech The Cresent Hawks Revenge, sequal to Battletech The Cresent Hawks Inception, which was a turn based RPG which was fun but had issues, but might be worth checking out first.
