I want to make an update on this just because I feel more and more awful every passing day that I can't sit down and finish the fic. Things are possibly settling into a more predictable pattern at work and also I am now shopping to replace my broken laptop.

The use of motorway services in this image really underlines this is about excluding people from public life. When you stop at a motorway services, you're on your way somewhere else. It's the most banal space possible. Now we'll all have to check we conform to gender stereotypes in order to pee.

It stops sorting your inbox into folders, btw, when you turn this off. As the inbox folders predate Gemini, this is a passive-aggressive attempt to make gmail a miserable experience unless you turn AI on, not a necessity.

If you use GMail, AI (Gemini) was turned on yesterday by default and now scans all of your content for machine learning. To turn off, go to Settings>General and scroll down. Uncheck the box for "Smart features."
There's other "Smart" add-ons as well, but that's the one that reads your content.

I would dress up for maglev, bullet trains, possibly high-speed rail. I got nothin but disrespect for the intrusive and dehumanizing experience of modern-day air travel that is built on wasting money and fuel and juicing customers, harassing POC, and reducing food to its most dire forms.

The federal government is faking evidence in major criminal cases and then lying when caught. In addition to that they are destroying evidence of their crimes against humanity and the population.

So if this is "acceptable" Coast Guard policy, it's also probably an acceptable policy at ICE, CBP, Secret Service, and other agencies under DHS if it's not already.
