A triceratops skull (or rather a replica of one) in the walled garden of Pollok Country House. This is one of a series of dinosaur bone sculptures hidden here amongst the trees and bushes, jist waiting for kids to discover them.

Douglas Adams' own biscuit encounter happened about the time that both "Brief Encounter" and "Five Biscuits" must have been at least in pre-production at the BBC, perhaps even recorded. By the time Arthur Dent related it in 1984's So Long and Thanks for All the Fish, Adams had told it many times. /9

Richard Littlejohn wrote about fly-tipping in yesterday’s Mail, today Boris Johnson turns his attention to a bus driver sacked for beating up a thief. Anything, literally *anything*, to avoid addressing the now utterly undeniable shame & humiliation of their pathetic cheerleading for Donald Trump…

31 January, so... the anniversary of the demise of Guy Fawkes? Bit obvious, maybe

How about Ham the Astrochimp going into space?

No, because, in 1996, this was the opening night of The Fields of Ambrosia, a West End musical about... er, a travelling executioner 🧵

Honestly what is the point of having a programme that is *not* live if you are not going to use that function to aggressively factcheck the people on it?
It is quite striking that Konstantin Kisin simply denied (falsely) on BBC1 that he had said what he said, word for word, on his podcast.
Konstantin Kisin straight up lying on #bbcqt

Douglas Alexander: “When Fraser Nelson put it to you that Rishi Sunak is absolutely english… you said “he’s a brown Hindu, how is he english?”

Kisin: “No, that’s not what I said...”

The current vibe is get up at half past 10 at night, half an hour before you go to bed, eat a lump of freezing cold poison, work 28 hours a day at mill, and pay the mill owner to let you work there, then have your dad murder you in cold blood and dance about on your graves singing hallelujah.

Back in the 1990s my first computer mouse came in this box. I always found the image baffling – is the red area a scrotum? Or is it a pert round bottom? Is the mouse turning its head 180 degrees like an owl to inspect its throbbing arse? So many questions.

A reminder to the news media: “conflicting accounts” is what you say BEFORE the incontrovertible video evidence appears. After that, your job is to ask why one side is lying, not to repeat the lie and pretend no one knows the truth.

Associating yourself with Trump - days after he dismisses British sacrifices in Afghanistan, threatens NATO allies and kills his own citizens - is the dumbest possible strategy for anyone running to be London mayor.

Our city will resoundingly reject Farage’s nativism.

Cunningham will get trounced.

Literally all of this is a lie. We are about to find out who is state media, because they will be the ones to parrot a justification for state-sanctioned murder.
Noem lies shamelessly: "An individual approached order Patrol officers with a 9mm semi-automatic gun. The officers attempted to disarm this individual, but the armed suspect reacted violently. This looks like a situation where an individual arrived to inflict maximum damage and kill law enforcement"

ICE has now carried out two summary executions of innocent people in the streets of an American city.

If you work for ICE, there's no denying that's the mission you're supporting now. You don't get to claim in one year or ten or twenty that you didn't know what ICE was doing. You're complicit.
