British horror fan. The only good X is certificate X.
This is hugely entertaining stuff that I can recommend to any Holmes fan. Dan is a friend, but I wouldn’t say that if I didn’t mean it.
A year ago today my Sherlock Holmes novel, The Devil's Crown, made its debut in paperback (the hardback followed later) after existing in my head and in various forms for over quarter of a century.

The “scandal” was free promotion that directly put Trump in power and detached Britain from the EU.

The “scandal” can be drawn directly to every evil that has resulted and will result from these events.

The “scandal” led to actual loss of life, rights & security of people around the globe.

I watched Tomorrow I’ll Wake Up And Scald Myself With Tea and my wife walked in.
“What’s this?”
“It’s a film about Nazi sympathisers going back in time to give Hitler the H-bomb.”
A pause.
“It looks old.”
“1977.”
A longer pause.
“Subtitles?”
“It’s Czech.”
She sighs.
“I should have married Jeff.”

“None of us can guess how the Trump assault on the BBC will play out, because he wields unprecedented power, unchecked by personal dignity or decency.”

No. We can’t. But we can condemn forever the repulsive British politicians and media gobshites who would side with him instead of us.

Imagine watching Sinatra, son of Dolly & Antonini born in Genoa & Sicily, respectively, and Martin, son of Gaetano & Angela, born in Montesilvano, Italy & Ohio respectively, (Angela to parents born in Monasterolo, Italy), and crusading against the value of children of immigrants to the U.S.

#LiteraryAdventCalendar2025 Day 24.
And we end with an extract from the Kenneth Williams diaries in which, (for once), KW has a jolly Christmas Day in the company of comedy legends Joan Sims and Hattie Jacques.
Good wishes to everybody and may we all know such laughter....xx

🚨 The DOJ appears to have redacted Donald Trump’s name from the allegations made in this exhibit in the Epstein files.

Trump’s name was in the original release. Now, it’s blacked out.

See for yourself.

Trump is coming after our BBC. He’s suing it for $10 billion, and the Conservatives and Reform are cheering him on.

The BBC must not pay Trump a penny. Instead of rolling over, it should sue Trump back for the lies he’s telling about it.
