In proper parliamentary style I have to declare an interest in this, as I’m a private renter and before moving to Sittingbourne I was a council housing tenant

Improving renters rights has been one of the biggest things for me so far in parliament, as is providing £39bn for building social housing
On 1 May 2026, we will abolish Section 21 ‘no-fault’ evictions when we switch on the new private rented sector tenancy system.

Restoring the independence of our elections watchdog is vital to increasing trust in our politics.

Our democracy is beset by increasing misinformation, unprecedented foreign interference & dodgy donations - the time to act is now.

Terminally ill people do not have 20yrs for the House of Lords to delay this bill😔 I welcome scrutiny, and will meet with anyone to discuss the bill, but: “The concerted effort to block its progress by a very small number of peers, who are all against the Bill as a matter of principle, continues.”

Transport inequalities are root causes of most problems people in Sittingbourne & Sheppey face accessing education, health services & employment

Overcoming these is key to turning things around

Having a fangirl/boy moment about Barbara Castle is never a bad thing either 😍
This week is Road Safety Week & a chance to talk about Barbara Castle!

Barbara was Transport Minister for three years yet she was able to introduce the Breathalyzer, a proper integrated transport strategy & more!

This was done despite fierce opposition.

We need to walk this all back and rethink it

It's Transgender Awareness Week.

Trans people are among the most marginalised and discriminated in our society. We all need to stand up to that.

It was great to meet the staff at MindOut today, a brilliant local mental health service run by and for LGBTQ+ people. I'll keep supporting their work.

For Reform’s leadership to tolerate this from their MPs speaks volumes
