On MLK Day 2021, his family posted this picture of him. Seeing him in color reminded me that our history is not that far behind us. Seeing him at home with his kids broke me.

Exasperated, I mumbled what would become the opening line to the spoken word piece, "Fathers"

If you haven't already: Start weight training.

You don't have to gym rat out, or even buy equipment. Just put together some body weight exercises and do them regularly.

I just got off a call with a group of young people who were seeking some guidance for a project they have launched in their community. Folks, I can tell you that we are blessed in this generation. They are smart and importantly so damn compassionate. ALSO, they know more than we did at their age.

I created an app where you can shop Black Owned Businesses on one app. It has a Mutual Aid section and so far it helped raise $150,000+ people struggling in the community. Reaching out to Blacksky to help spread this, this combo of helping Black Businesses, simultaneously giving back is amazing and-

Far too many people seem to think the point of having someone who shares their oppressions in a position of power...is to allow them the ability to act as badly as their oppressors do.

Okay, I really don’t want to keep talking about this, since frankly - I hate KP. She’s an example of toxic management, and I saw what she did to my friends.

But I’m really disturbed by the number of women, specifically white women on Threads and on here, justifying her cursing at staff.

Going to be honest: Threads going to bat for Katie Porter is one of the most 🫠 things I've seen today...

And really speaks to my ongoing belief we shouldn't stan politicians. At all.

Fellow Dems, hold politicians accountable for their work, not for who you THINK they are only on camera.

"Slightly less covered is the wealth of Boricua history that makes his art as powerful as it is, including over 100 years of fraught Puerto Rico-U.S. relations that led to his arrival. This history is crucial for understanding the significance of where Bad Bunny stands now, & where he is going next"
Bad Bunny's Super Bowl Could Finally Spotlight Important Boricua History on the Mainland
Bad Bunny is perhaps the only pop star fully equipped to take on the current American sociopolitical ecosystem and the fact that a show must entertain.

Important reminder here that the US is not the only place where fossil fuel interests are pushing back hard against climate science and clean energy 👇

BBC decided to cancel a podcast on heat pumps deeming the topic "controversial" because it presented that the technology could contribute to net zero reducing carbon emmissions.

In 2025 an anti-science posture is not only valid, but required in any debate to be considered "balanced" 😬

"Can we sell black characters in this political climate?" That is what Ubisoft asked itself and then answered, "No." Which is a skill issue and bigotry on THEIR part because black entertainers are out here selling their wares EVERY DAMN DAY, antiblackness be damned. Our culture MOVES NUMBERS.

Sources: Leadership nixed it over concerns re: U.S. political climate, backlash to Yasuke

Printing presses kept their letters in cases.

Capital letters went in the upper case.
Smaller letters went in the lower case.

This is why we say ‘UPPER CASE’ and ‘lower case.’

Ok, but what did we call them before the invention of the printing press?

MAJUSCULE and minuscule.
