Political violence is a bad thing, it is not a thing I support in and of itself, but it’s simply a fact that one side of this conflict appears committed to not leaving any alternatives open

What we are experiencing feels less like the Civil War and more like military Reconstruction carried out by the Radical Republicans, only this time the locals resisting the occupying forces are doing so to protect multi-racial democracy rather than white supremacy.
