So Pakistan is *paying* Qatar to *not* deliver LNG because even including this penalty payment their solar PV and battery spending is much better value for money and saves them billions.

How fascinating!

🚨 SHOCKING 🚨

A HUGE illegal waste dump has appeared between the A34 and River Cherwell, linked to organised crime.

Every rainfall risks toxins washing into the river.

We’re calling on the Environment Agency & Cherwell Council to act NOW.

Our rivers cannot wait. 👇👇

The US LNG export market is about to add a huge amount of new supply over the next 5 years. Pretty much everyone agrees there is too much.

A lot of this LNG is under contract to traders who plan to buy it and resell it for profits. Despite not having end users lined up.

We see plenty of homes being built in Sandyford and the wider Dublin 18 area but where are the community facilities to match?

Imaginosity is now a vacant building here in BSQ in Sandyford Business District. The council need to be acting much faster to bring it into use as a community facility.

Raft of legal changes to back new cycling infrastructure signed into law
A wide range of legal changes relating to cycling and other transport-related changes have been signed into law by the Minister for Transport, Darragh O'Brien. The changes range from giving legislative backing to relatively minor details, such as square cycle lane markings called "elephant's feet", to more radical changes which will allow for the trialling of a French-style yielding system for people cycling at traffic lights.

A whopping 38% of Russia’s refining capacity is now offline, according to The Economist.

Gasoline output fell by 1 million tons in September which has created a 20% domestic shortfall.

Repairs may take months because of sanctions limiting access to parts and tech.

An official told councillors that the national body rejected a request for crossing outside school, but FOI request shows  no such request was made
Local media reported that a council official told councillors that Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) rejected the request for crossing outside a school in Carrick-on-Suir, but, after a Freedom of Information request, TII said no such request was made. TII are responsible for the national roads, and councils apply to them for funding safety improvements on the national roads, even within urban areas.

You might easily take this for tropical rainforest in some faraway country.

But it's an Irish temperate rainforest, a much *rarer* habitat.

And it's equally threatened, only by masses of deer, goats, and sheep, rather than chainsaws or bulldozers.

The government could save households and businesses £5.1 billion a year on their energy bills, as soon as 2028, by overhauling the electricity market to stop gas-fired power stations from ‘unfair prof...
