Trump’s fundraisers are now using the threat of dispatching ICE against citizens as an email engagement tactic.

@duckworth.senate.gov why shield your republican colleagues with "blinders on" from accountability by not naming them?! It's such horse crap that you are more committed to being friendly with your colleagues than protecting your constituents. Start treating your opposition like opponents or resign!
Duckworth on Senate Republicans: "I gotta be honest with you. When I talk to a few of my colleagues, they had not even seen the videos. It's almost like they put blinders on. They're uneasy."

Once again, Bivens actions should be statutory and retroactive.
The way to square this circle — to make this more than “a law that says you must obey the law” — is for the new law to provide a new *remedy*, ideally a retroactive one (which confirms “this was always the law”).

So let me again yell STATUTORY BIVENS

Good afternoon from downtown Chicago, where despite heavy snowfall, thousands have gathered for an anti-ICE/CBP demonstration in solidarity with the Twin Cities. More are still streaming in.

Lt. Illinois Gov. Juliana Stratton just addressed the crowd, and called for ICE to be abolished.

Patel is lying about the law as it is traditionally understood, as it is written. He’s telling the truth about law under Trumpism: you only have a right if they deign to acknowledge it; you have no right to do anything they don’t want you to do.
Kash Patel: "You cannot bring a firearm, loaded, with multiple magazines to any sort of protest that you want. It's that simple. You don't have a right to break the law." (Pretti was carrying a gun legally.)

Understand that 370 days ago even bringing a motion like this would probably have been treated as sanctionably frivolous

Today it was granted ex parte

Saying there must be trials isn't just an emotive aspiration.

Congress can:
- Create a new court (complying w/ 6A jury vicinage)
- Give it jurisdiction over defined category of crimes
- Also create dedicated prosecutors for the same
- Strip SCOTUS of appellate jurisdiction

It can be done.

This moment in history provides us with incontrovertible evidence that all the conservatives who claim to be extremely devoted to freedom of speech and the right to bear arms, and opposed to the encroachment of tyranny, are completely and totally full of shit.

It's all white supremacy and greed.

Since July, I've tracked at least 2,300 cases in which federal judges have ruled ICE has illegally detained people without bond or due process.

This is one that stands out:

I just can't describe what I'm feeling now. We can all see the video. We saw how he was across the street from some agents, simply filming. We saw how the agents didn't like that, and initiated contact with him. What the fuck do you mean "domestic terrorism"? What are you talking about?
Noem: This individual committed domestic terrorism. That is the facts.

Masked ICE gestapo agents just murdered an ICU nurse after assaulting him, stealing the firearm he was lawfully carrying, spraying him with chemicals, then restraining him so they could shoot him point-blank.

And the federal government's response is to shield the killers and justify the killing.
Alex Pretti was a colleague at the VA. We hired him to recruit for our trial. He became an ICU nurse- I lover working with him. He was a good kind person who lived to help and these fuckers executed him.

Let’s be clear about what the Trump regime is saying to Minnesota: “We will continue murdering your citizens unless you help us rig your election.”
Pam Bondi's conditions for Minnesota: 1) give us all your state data on your food programs, including SNAP 2) repeal all your sanctuary policies in the state (since it has led to "so much crime and violence") and 3) hand over your state voting rolls. Letter here: www.fox9.com/news/minneap...

This was murder. Pretti did not initiate the confrontation. He didn’t strike them. He didn’t brandish his gun. They tackled him, beat him, disarmed him, and shot him.
Holy crap.

This is the most damning video yet.

It shows Border Patrol agents clearly taking Alex's firearm, running it away, and THEN executed him in cold blood by emptying a clip into his face.

Murder.

We wont be safe as long as they are allowed to be free. Sorry, folks.
This is an actual post from Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth: Praising ICE after Alex Pretti was killed, blaming the Democratic leadership of Minnesota, and writing that ICE is greater/better than Minnesota.

He is actively demeaning the people of Minnesota just hours after Pretti was murdered.

@schakowsky.house.gov this is unacceptable. You can't tell your constituents that we have rights while you watch agents of the federal government trample on those rights. If you won't uphold your oath and actually do anything to protect our rights you need to resign your seat immediately

Compare this thread analyzing the video footage with DHS’s statement stating that the man approached officers with a gun and “wanted to do maximum damage and massacre law enforcement.”
Footage taken moments before a struggle shows that the man was filming, holding a phone in his right hand, backing up. His left hand is up, visible, palm facing out, as he backs away from the area. An agent uses his right hand, on the torso of the victim, pushing him back, while the man complies.

People are missing a big thing about the saga of the detained 5-year-old. When Vance calls the father an "illegal alien" it seems to reflect a little-known Trump admin move that attempts to nullify asylum claims before they are even heard.

This policy is a horror:
