Trade is now weaponised.

The UK must draw far closer to our allies, especially Europe, to defend supply chains and resist economic coercion.

An economic security union with the EU isn’t ideology. It’s strategy.

Free trade must expand our freedom, not weaken our security.

Programmes like Erasmus+ help people step outside their comfort zone. And, when they come home, they're often stronger, more confident, and full of ideas.

Erasmus+ opens up a world of opportunities, and I hope more people in Bournemouth East can get involved when the UK joins the scheme in 2027.

Very positive news this morning about the 0.3% economic growth seen in Nov!

With the suggestion the Bank of England will still press ahead with more interest rate cuts this year.

But the Guardian couldn't help a dig at the Chancellor for budget uncertainty - something the media itself invented.

Thank you @chrisbloore.bsky.social One of the issues concerning RM is they are undercut by the likes of EVRi. RM have the universal service obligation to adhere to (though it needs rewriting) whereas EVRi and other courier companies are unregulated. This has created a race to the bottom....

London’s lowest homicide rate in decades hasn’t happened by chance.

It’s the outcome of a strategy we’ve pursued since the start of my first term as Mayor: to be tough on violent crime, and tough on the complex causes of violent crime.
Sorry, Trump and Farage – London is no lawless ‘warzone’. Violent crime is lower than ever | Sadiq Khan
Reform’s new candidate for mayor claims people pity Londoners for living in an unsafe capital. But the evidence is clear: we’re making our streets safer, says mayor of London Sadiq Khan

I don’t think we’ve got the Brexit people voted for. Our traders face a daily nightmare getting goods across the border.

Here’s one example of just why. Toby Ovens of Broughton Transport told us about the 26 stamps he needs on loads of forms. To move one trailer across the Channel…

Ten years on, I’m not sure people voted for what Brexit has delivered.

The value of new trade deals? Around £14bn a year.

The cost of Brexit to the economy? Closer to £180bn a year.
