Is this just scandalous? Or is it criminal?

Here are the CPS guidelines for prosecuting "misconduct in public office", a common law criminal offence.

More on that soon.

Don't jump to conclusions. Keep an open mind whether Peter Mandelson leaked one or two Number 10 emails to Epstein.

It could just be coincidence that the length of the redacted name in the first email is identical to the length of the redacted name in the second email.

Really? I read this pretty straightforwardly as “the challenge to trans access to hampstead ponds has been dismissed”. Seems neither dishonest nor obfuscatory.
This is a disgracefully dishonest headline from the BBC. Its motivation can only be deliberately to mislead the public about who lost the case.

That’s exactly right, Daniel.

And the number in just 2-3 days of killing far exceeds the number of Iranians the Shah was accused of killing during his entire reign.
If this is true it must be one of the biggest massacres by a government of protesters - not in a civil war - in decades anywhere in the world

I left university in 2019 with £49,600 of debt. A few months later, I became an MP and have since received a salary that puts me in the top 5% in the country. 6 years on, the repayments from my salary have brought this total to down to £48,600 - just £1,000 less.

“Mutual respect” 🤮
Trump: “It was my Great Honor to meet María Corina Machado, of Venezuela, today. She is a wonderful woman who has been through so much. María presented me with her Nobel Peace Prize for the work I have done. Such a wonderful gesture of mutual respect. Thank you María!”

If Corbyn had said allegations of antisemitism were "solidifying our core support" then all hell would have broken out in the press + broadcast media. So there is an obvious partisan assymetry in how the Farage allegations about antisemitism have been treated, and other forms of racist bullying

I was cycling through Hackney Wick and got made to wait by a security guard while people filmed a scene from the lamented adaptation of London Fields, starring Amber Heard. Said security guard was the only person I saw.
Please quote this with the time you didn’t interact with someone famous - eg one time I was in Cardiff the same weekend as Willem Dafoe (but I didn’t see him or even know he was there until he appeared on the telly later)
Please quote this with your major interactions with massive celebrities. eg “I was married to the pope for fifteen years”

Liz Truss radicalizing on Twitter is like if you were rejected for membership of a doomsday cult and then became a true believer anyway just by reading their Wikipedia page over and over.

Liz Truss is so funny because she might be the first recorded case of Twitter frying the brain of a celebrity without anyone on the platform actually engaging with her.

She became a fascist lunatic by osmosis because she's not important or interesting enough to have a fanbase to pull her right.

Since we are again having this discussion, and now in the UK with draconic legal powers: my thread on Intifada and "globalise the Intifada"
Intifada is uprising. Intifadas are not unique to Palestine. Uprisings can be violent and nonviolent. Intifadas in Palestine were both. It's like shouting revolution. Would you ban the word revolution?

As we hurtle towards Christmas, tis once again the season for exceptionally poor pubmanship.
It's not that difficult ...

• Know what you want before you get served

• Order the Guinness first

• Bring your empties back to the bar

A pub is for life, not just for Christmas ... 🎄🎄🎄
