I think the new James Bond films are going to have a problem coming up with villains who are worse than the ones we have in real life.

I'm making my usual #BandcampFriday plea: if you love music, consider spending as much today on music at Bandcamp as you do every month on music streaming subs. One $10 sale can make an artist's day-- and put as much money in their pocket as ~5000 or more streams!

"Larian is not involved." FFS ...
A Baldur's Gate TV show is the next video game adaptation from HBO, with The Last of Us' Craig Mazin at the helm again.

The show will continue on from the story and characters in Baldur's Gate 3. Larian is not involved.

Ok, the new Muppet Show is legit kind of cool. Decent jokes, good happy vibes, all around fun. And pretty impressive technically as well.

Did Google remove the full url path from their search results!? I could have sworn it would show the specific URLs which I would use to discover sub pages I hadn't visited yet but now everything is mushed together as the hostname... God I hate dark UX patterns...

This is Jerry Lawson. He invented the video game cartridge for the Fairchild Channel F system. Because of his invention, many consoles had cartridges and CD formats and would become the norm.

The Atari 2600, NES, Genesis, and many consoles wouldn't exist without him.

Happy Black History Month.

- Site needs a content security policy to limit access to queries

- Site needs a frame security policy

- JS, CSS, Webmail, cPanel need to be secured/hidden

- "X-Content-Type-Options" header needs a "nosniff" value to make future XSS attacks difficult

Spent a few more minutes looking at StopIce.net. It's bad.

They don't seem to want to ask for help with securing it, so I'll ask my infosec savvy followers with some free time to reach out to them.

Until then, I'd encourage people to not supply it with any personal or location data.

You can vibe code your way to a working prototype. You cannot vibe code or one-shot your way to a competitive product that works at scale. The hard part isn't writing code; it's the architectural supervision.

If you're a programmer switching to Linux is pretty straight forward, and after the learning curve the day-to-day of programming from Linux is way nicer than Windows.
You asked and you shall receive! Now you better watch it cause it took me two days to make this! (unless you're really enjoying Windows 11)

How to switch to Linux as a gamedev?
