Only team I've ever seen have the starting pitcher throw a complete game no-hitter and still lose 4-0, thanks to three errors (Andy Hawkins, 1990).

To add insult to injury, because the Yankees were on the road, Hawkins didn't get to pitch the ninth, so he doesn't even get credit for a no-hitter.

This is really important. I was recently talking to folks in Chicago who said that much as they fear ICE detaining children without due process, they worry even more that child traffickers will don their same masks and do even worse.

Why? Because there are an awful lot of people who think they really are the center of the universe. Plenty of them are antisemites, and some of them aren't but are stupid enough not to realize how narcissistic and condescending they are.

As a human being, it always amazes me that so many people are so eager to tell the interwebs that antisemitism can't possibly be rising because they, who aren't Jewish themselves, haven't experienced it, and by the way what about something unrelated Israel?

As a social scientist, I'm not surprised.
