YES THIS!!! I remember doing a lab in my osteology class in college where we measured the pelvic girdles of the lab skeletons and guessed (forgive the clumsy language) whether each was likely XX chromosomes or XY. But the lab TA was VERY clear about how unreliable it was and how gender was different
(2/2) the evidence of this is when archaeologists look at skeletons they can tell who was a man and who was a woman, so even if someone dresses a certain way their bones don’t lie” type of energy

So, I decided to check my email. Heres the email sent to me unedited in it’s entirety. Note how theres no notification of WHAT I was banned for. It just said “a post”. Not even offending. Why is that @support.bsky.team, @moderation.bsky.app? Why cant you directly tell ppl what they’re suspended for?

Friends, you may or may not know that my last two teaching jobs prior to this were….not awesome. One downright traumatic, one better but I was particularly ill-suited to the “toughen up” style of management - I think that I’m tough in certain ways, but I’m also extremely sensitive in other ways.

Critical thinking in this administration: if these # ‘s aren’t pulled out of his ass, I’d guess that teen boys get tested if they have a condition that results in low testosterone & adult males get tested for multiple reasons - certain cancers, fertility - and it’s not a given theirs is low.
I don't understand where he even got that information. It's not like people are doing routine hormone or sperm tests even on adults, let alone teenagers?

This is something I’ve been trying to put my finger on for awhile but couldn’t quite put into words, this terror of having to look inward so you lash out.
One of my favorite parts of the year is when I get to teach 15th-17thc art history - it’s like “Yes the Sistine Chapel is amazing but did you know it exists because Michelangelo is a petty bitch?” And “Let’s talk about Caravaggio’s beef with the church for painting Mary both too sexy and not pretty”
