Paisley patterns are found quite commonly in 🇺🇿,across art/clothes/ textiles because the design originated in Persia.The Moghuls who were of Uzbek heritage bought the design to 🇮🇳,where a few 100 years later the British loved & bought back to the cotton mills of Paisley 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿,giving it its imperial name.

Back from the neurologist today. All my little twitches are benign and nothing more nefarious. Confirms the ME/CFS dx. I apparently have ‘very brisk’ reflexes - maybe this is my super power?? 😂😂. In an unrelated investigation - I might have carpal tunnel in my right wrist 🤷🏻‍♀️.

I often wonder if it comes from a place of seeing and feeling the world differently. Like our attraction isn’t based just on appearances and how we present is based more on how we feel than how we look 🤷🏻‍♀️? I’m bi and have known that a lot longer than I’ve known I was ND.

I am so glad that I’m not a teacher anymore. This guidance is an utter disgrace. It’s such a slap in the face to every single Scottish teacher. The violence is very real, it’s very scary, it’s very traumatising. A laminated card is not the answer. 🤬 #ScottishEducation

Today marks nine years since Jo Cox was assassinated by a far-right extremist, a terrible loss to those who knew and loved her and to politics. Zero lessons were learned though and the far-right continues to be pandered to. With more political assassinations in the US it all feels too familiar.

Retaining information is my biggest hurdle. I can learn almost anything really quickly but will equally as fast lose it. I’ve been relearning French for the past 4 years and I’m struggling now to improve as I just can’t move my surface knowledge to deep understanding.
