This is the most vile response possible. Sure our chatbot explained how to do it, encouraged him to hide it & reinforced his beliefs of worthlessness, but the suicidal teenager AGREED to the terms of use that promised he wouldn’t ask. What were we supposed to do? *Not* help him hurt himself?
Additionally, OpenAI argues its not liable because Raine, by using ChatGPT for self-harm, broke its terms of service

Do not steal books, I beg. Borrow from a library. Libraries lend e-books!

The leftism leaving people's bodies like cartoon ghosts when people say "artists need to be paid" and "don't steal books."
i have never wanted to make a YouTube video before, but now i want to make one that's basically: Books Are Not Free Content For You, Stop Stealing From Authors, You Scabs.

we are not the enemy.
every dollar folks think they're taking from Amazon, they're taking from authors more.

Google has started automatically opting you in to let it read your stuff to train AI. You need to turn this off in SEVERAL places in your settings (not just for Gmail), if you want to maintain privacy and confidentiality.

Gmail can read your emails and attachments to train its AI, unless you opt out
A new Gmail update may allow Google to use your private messages and attachments for AI training. Here's how to turn it off.

So many people are self sabotaging by deskilling via this nonsense right now. Want an edge in 2027? Don’t build reliance on bad tools into your process in 2025.
Relying on ChatGPT to teach you about a topic leaves you with shallower knowledge than Googling and reading about it, according to new research that compared what more than 10,000 people knew after using one method or the other.

Can’t believe we’re living in a time where I agree wholeheartedly with the pope
Pope Leo XIV understands technology and its relationship to art better any executive or AI-pilled techbro running the conference circuit.

How is AI *really* impacting jobs?

Henley Chiu, the CTO of Revealera, a jobs data analysis firm, analyzed 180 million jobs listings in 2024 and 2025, in an effort to find out. Chiu found an:

-8% drop in all jobs postings
-~30% drop in art, photography, writing jobs
-22% drop in journalism jobs
What’s really going on with AI and jobs?
Record-breaking layoff reports, Amazon's mass firings, and a slump in entry level employment. Is AI behind it all?

I was wondering why today was feeling like it is, and then remembered I’ve only slept for 7 of the last 72 hours. That proooobably explains it.

A very unfortunate portent for my fellow professionals who use Adobe suite 😬
Back from AdobeMAX. Short-ish thread on my experience.
Caught the AdobeMAX Keynote.

Their products are soon gonna be nearly unusable with the amount of AI bloatware they're shoveling into them.
