For less than 50% of the money spent on Wendy Davis in 2014, Beto O’Rourke in 2018 & 22, and Collin Allred in 2024, we could have funded a decade + of party-building, progressive infrastructure, and independent progressive journalism in Texas.
im not saying democrats shouldnt run for things in texas. they should be running all over. but like florida, people need to be realistic about the likelihood of winning and donate accordingly.

The aspect of the Texas racial gerrymandering saga that really has not received attention is that the racial gerrymandering doctrine is not some liberal thing. It is a doctrine developed by conservatives that largely exists to prevent states from engaging in minority-protective redistricting.
