I have lived in a lot of places so Facebook used to be a really useful product for me to keep up with people. Now it is completely useless for that purpose. I do see a lot of random stand-up clips.
My Facebook feed no longer has anything from people I know. Instead it's 99% AI slop videos of "trains floating on canal boats having accidents in which someone falls into the water". It's horrible, mainly because I can't stop watching them on repeat and the algorithm knows the darkness of my soul.

I'm not going to pretend I'm above simple partisanship; it's a cognitive shortcut in a complex world. But I say that fully knowing that people's partisanship empowers politicians.
