Expanding to 32 teams and splitting the league into an NBA-1 and NBA-2 and doing promotion and relegation between the two.
NBA Commissioner Adam Silver on tanking: "It's so clear that the incentives are misaligned."

Silver said the believes tanking is worse than we've seen before and said that's what led to the recent fines as an effort to put all teams on notice. Silver emphasized again the league is focused on fixes.

Dems should start introducing bills moving pieces of DHS to other agencies. Send TSA to the Department of Transportation, for instance.
BREAKING: The Department of Homeland Security shuts down as the White House and Democratic leaders continue to discuss changes to U.S. immigration enforcement.

The White House and Senate Democrats have been trading offers on changes to DHS and ICE after two Americans were killed in Minneapolis.

I support abolishing ICE because it is a broken agency with a cruel missing and a money spigot for companies that make society worse.

But ICE is the proverbial Cossack working for the Czar. Any agency can be reprogrammed around malign goals if the President wants it and Congress says nothing.
Just noting this because I have cited the trends a lot recently: Tracking data from Civiqs now shows a plurality of the public favors abolishing ICE, with 47% in support and 46% opposed. Independents are net +5 on abolish, up from -40 a year ago substack.com/profile/4791...

Noem wants to run president in 2028 and I think she should because it would be very funny and we will deserve that after the last few years.

Longtime Tucson AZ resident here. The lines on maps do not correspond to any actual borderlands communities.
I grew up in Detroit. Windsor was just another community in the area, one with the best Chinese food and the great indy movie theater I tried to impress artsy girls by going to. I didn't even need ID to cross the border. The lines on maps do not correspond with how life works in those areas.
Trump thought his threat to block the Detroit-Windsor bridge to punish Canada would thrill the base. But here's a shocker: Working people in Michigan actually like the region's economic interdependence with Windsor!

I don't thinking blaming people for getting shot by federal agents is going to be the great gotcha it sounded like in my senator's head, but I guess we'll see.
Ron Johnson to Keith Ellison: "Two people are dead because you encouraged them to put themselves into harm's way! And now you are exploiting those two martyrs. You ought to feel damn guilty about it. Yeah, sit there and smirk. Smirk. It's sick! It's despicable. You disgust me."

I've seen a lot of evidence to the contrary.
Homan: "ICE is a legitimate federal law enforcement agency. We're not out scouring the streets to disappear people or deny people their civil rights or due process."

When someone tells you who they are, believe them.
Fuentes, yesterday: “Our #1 political enemy is women because women constrain everything, every conversation, every man, everything. They have to be imprisoned. They are the ones that are hurting the fertility rate. They're the ones making us sympathetic to poor people, which are also brown people.”
Nick Fuentes: “The number one political enemy in America is women. … They have to be imprisoned.”

I'm an election worker just north of Steil's district in Wisconsin. In terms of ID, we protect our beer and ballots exactly the same.
Rep. Brian Steil: "I flew home to my home state of Wisconsin, went to buy a 6 pack a beer, the clerk asked for my ID, confirmed it, and then I was allowed to buy the beer. I just think it's nuts that we protect our beer more than our ballots."
