ive said this before, but the dissonance of marketing AI as an absolute source of unlimited intelligence (the implication being some sort of factuality or neutrality), while a few very wealthy humans manually carve it to say the things they want, should be ringing alarm bells for everyone

In addition to being totally pathetic, he's also completely wrong.
EPA polls consistently show that the vast majority, across all ages, incomes , urban or rural, all want the government to take action.
So by polarising, he must mean that Micheal o Leary,Amazon, and Tirlan don't want it

They risk upsetting the multinationals. They risk upsetting the capitalists. This is neoliberalism. These people care more about capitalism and profit than their ideals (and often mistake those motives AS ideals). They will sell out the future of the planet to ensure the rich get richer.

It’s an extremely serious threat, if not *the* biggest threat that impacts us all. Not good enough for the govt to throw up their hands and say it’s too hard and divisive. Some still do need to be convinced, but it’s a leaders job to lead!

That "resistor" account sharing a genAI video (faking a reporter being detained by ICE) and then shutting down their comments after everyone tried to tell them, is precisely why I block those accounts on sight.

They pretend to care, but they don't. All they want is for their numbers to go up.

For years, this was part of a path through the land, but it's now an impenetrable tangle of gorse and young trees.

As the trees grow, the gorse and other vegetation will be shaded out, and I'll be able to pass again, but through *rainforest*.

Scrub is how natural forest ecosystems form.
