Jokes aside, I think another thing Democrats need to do is start vocally explaining how presidential immunity will not protect any contractor that offers to demolish public buildings at the president’s behest, and it will certainly guarantee they never see a government contract again.
If the Supreme Court’s argument is that the president has total immunity in doing stuff like this, then the next president has total immunity in claiming it is their presidential prerogative to hold Donald Trump upside down by his ankles and shake him until $600 million falls out.

Yes, it’s a combination of wishful thinking and stating the obvious, but this isn’t going to stop until a significant number of people, including Democratic presidential candidates, start openly saying they are just going to seize his assets to pay to fix this, and then do it.

You just have to believe that they can depress minority turnout in 5-10 cities to affect entire Senate races & the Electoral College. 2024 was decided by 120K votes in 3 states, after all.

I’m fascinated by the stories about ICE agents sad about being unable to get service in restaurants, because they suggest the ICE agents aren’t just cruel monsters, they’re too stupid to realize what is likely being done to their food in places where they *are* being served.
