I saw somebody on TikTok using the word 'slopper' as a slur for people who use ChatGPT, and that's a thing we should start doing.

Recently learned from my trad pub author pals that my editing speed is "unheard of."

I dunno man. I'm just built different.

A 90k novel a week per stage of editing is just how I roll. But I'm not inhuman.

If it's 120k or more, I take two weeks.

Updated the calendar today to find I only have two weeks open every month for the rest of the year! That means just one book a month left til 2026.

I really really want to stress that novovax is the covid vaccine preferred by a lot of people in the disability advocacy space. Disability advocates have pushed hard to maintain access for this vaccine that's not as well known as Moderna or Pfizer, but is better tolerated by a lot of people
This isn't a new product. It's an updated vaccine to account for new strains and viral evolution. Are they going to do this for all COVID and influenza vaccines yearly? Because that effectively shuts them down. There isn't enough time between identification of strains included & release of vaccine.

FUCK OFF YOU ARSEHOLES.
There is only so much professionalism, particular as a non-binary, autistic, individual, I can muster at the moment. Stop treating us as if we are "broken" as if we are "wrong". How hard is it to accept us as us? I want to cry at the way we are talked about.

It was never just about schools, it was never just about libraries, and it isn't actually about the books.

It's about finding a way to banish entire people, entire ideas, out of society, back into the closet or worse.

A new bill in the Texas Legislature, authored by Rep. Nate Schatzline, would allow businesses to be held liable if a minor reports damages from "obscene" books.

If you want real talk from a literary agent who follows basic principles of ethical conduct: Agents occasionally discuss queries with each other. Sometimes we complain, sometimes we poke a little fun—we're human, we have opinions, we share them privately. We don't mock people publicly for clout.

All of this. If you're a creative who uses AI for any part of your process, up to and including promotion, you're benefitting from wholesale, flagrant art theft and do not deserve positive attention -- and you certainly aren't going to get the support of the creative community.
Same. I also won't follow/will unfollow someone using it.
If you're using AI to illustrate your work, that means I can't share or promote your work. I would love to, but not when you utilize a technology that is stealing from artists and destroying the planet.
