Trying to watch more cricket than I write about. 🏏 The next book is about Nancy Sharp [https://tinyurl.com/2736jaw4].
I am going to have to see this through, aren't I?

Given what seems to be a relatively batter-friendly pitch, it’s tough to work out when NZ should declare. WI can probably survive four sessions if they put their minds to it, but can maybe also score 350+ in that time; NZ probably need to get to a 400 lead by not long after Tea. Maybe? #NZvWI🏏🙂

Well that's disappointing. Back from work (see pic for how strenuous that can be) and settled in to check some cricket and, err--I would be happier if WIndies had at least made it to lunch and I gather it's raining in Adelaide. #NZvWI #Ashes #cricket

As we head into the last shopping weekend before Christmas, please consider using Interac instead of a credit card. Better for merchants AND Canadian: what's not to like?

There's hardly a parish boneyard in England without gossip of phantoms. Hauntings refuse to politely stop at porch thresholds, are not deterred by solid stone walls. The Holy Ghost is not the only spectre resident in English churches. They are spirit crowded. – #CJosiffe #Ghosts

Every time there's a new development that involves going into the underside of Coreham, rumours leap from pub to pub of further ancient tunnels being found, workmen going missing. A folklore of places which swallow every electric light placed in an attempt to preserve their darkness.

Absolutely brilliant thread. One which does beg the question - was England more prone to strong earthquakes in the medieval period, or was it just that badly-built cathedrals fell down at the slightest tremor?
Absolutely nobody asked for this BUT

English Anglican cathedrals that have burned down, fallen over, and sank into the swamp: a thread.
