It's your duty as a free person and a citizen to cast your ballot and dare the goons to try to shoot you. And if they do that to someone ahead of you, it's your job to beat the goons down because that's what freedom takes sometimes.
i actually live in a district that might be the kind of competitive that attracts attention, in a city that holds real significance for trump and his minions. there might be goons at my polling place and if i see them i'll give a smile and a wave and i'll cast my fucking ballot

I must disagree with Tim Walz's theory that "Trump wants a show."
A more straightforward explanation is that he wants violent repression of immigrants, nonwhite people, and anyone who stands with them. Which is why he's doing that.
It's making a show. Lying down and taking it wouldn't change that.
