An incredible actor often hamstrung by type casting but rose above it all the same. Would have been the *perfect* actor (right age, leading man vibes, *actually* Mexican) for the Heston role in Touch of Evil.

#SilentHillf is a fucking knife to the gut, the best the series has been in over 20 years, and further evidence that Silent Hill is at its most compelling when giving voice to female rage.

When I saw Network for the first time it was *this* scene that knocked me on my ass. People have no idea what this movie's really about, because we are living in its predicted dystopia.

Seeing myself as a "parent" or "god" to people I write feels utterly wrong and disturbing to me. Writing is more like discovering parts of yourself you weren't fully aware of. Characters *reveal"* themselves to you, like the statue already inside the marble. You discover them. You don't "make" them.

Kinda horrified by how surprised by this people are. It was obvious at the time, as it was with literally *anything* Matsuno wrote. People didn't notice for the same reason people don't notice the politics of RoboCop when they are 11. :P
