We’ve reported extensively on how the FDA allowed foreign drugmakers to send generic medications to the U.S. from factories with filthy labs and contaminated equipment.

This month, we’re digging deeper and could use your help. THREAD/

Yesterday I was told that the class I’m scheduled to teach this month, Confronting Oppression & Injustice, is no longer part of our curriculum. This is a required class yet there was no discussion, no faculty vote, just an email saying the class no longer exists. This is what it’s like in Texas now.

If you think you know why US newspapers died, this feature documentary now streaming for free on PBS might surprise you. It wasn't the Internet. Newspapers were specifically targeted by vulture capitalists.

I composed the score for the film, which features electric cello & Crowfoot guitars.

Fascinated by the shelves & shelves of nature writing in British bookshops, I bought The Golden Mole, by Katherine Rundell: prose poems of fantastical didja-know, draped in the antique finery of predecessors in the animal-describing trade from Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. An antidote book.

Photograph I made of a red-bellied woodpecker. The only one I’ve seen in the last idk decade. Always hear em but rarely actually see em. Got lucky one day.

What a shame, I searched out video and for as fast as they came down it looked like the pilot did everything he could to minimize the impact; hit the embankment before the highway, tried to maintain some forward momentum instead of just straight down...

It's a wonder anyone survived really 💙

Creeping vine plant
😈🎨🦇

I did a better one in pencil but didn't feel like inking it after so I tried in gouache and then promptly fucked it up. Now I'm annoyed and don't want to work on them anymore, so here.
They can't all be winners 🤷‍♂️

It’s fucking insane. I can not even tell you the amount of trainings we had to go through each year. DEI, equality, accessibility, etc. He pretended he was totally with us. He came to the Women’s March. We had gay parade floats.

I mean, I was a Sr Director and my mouth is on the floor. Grotesque!!

My simple painting of 2 pumpkins from today's "Paint Parties" online art class, featuring Jackey Neyman Jones.

Title: "Rainbow Spice" .

Acrylic paint and Sharpie on paper.

The image consists of a round orange pumpkin and a taller blue pumpkin, with a background in shades of pale yellow and gold. Swirling vines with leaves spring from the stems and float in the background. The style is impressionistic, simple, and kinetic. Repeating lines in pastel rainbow shades define, and overlap the edges.

Art by Bethany McCraw 2025, courtesy of Jackey Neyman Jones Online Art: Paint Parties: The online art class for everyone, hosted by Dumb Industries.

For sign up, gallery, and all information please visit https://dumb-industries.com/jackey .

Jackey is best known for her role as "Debbie" in the worst movie ever made, "Manos The Hands Of Fate", when she was a young child. Her dad Tom Neyman played the titular role of "The Master" in the film, and is the artist who painted the iconic portrait, made the singular hand-staff, and many other of the art pieces seen in the film. Jackey's mom made the hand robes and other costume elements, and they even had their family dog, "Shanka" as part of the film, as the doberman hell hound!

Jackey continues her dad's legacy of art, fun, pop culture, and creative engagement to fans new and old, in fun & relaxing online live streams, where she paints in real time as student artist follow along, or create their own visions of the themes. Class participation is vital, as each theme is decided by vote from the student artists, and pieces are shown at the end of class, of anyone who chooses to submit their works.

The atmosphere is inviting, positive, relaxed, and accessible. Everyone of different ages, skill levels, and using different mediums, practice & hone their creative skills.

Jackey's now known as "The Bob Ross" of Manos!

Join us, won't you?

Art is good for you!

The English Revolution was in no small part sparked by King Charles I routing around parliament to find everything he wanted through non/legislative means, despite that being why Parliament exists. Over a century later, American colonists aware of this explicitly gave their Congress power to stop it
