Hi there! Can I help you find anything?
Without naming your job, tell me something you say over and over again at work.

One of the best things you can do as a writer to support the literary landscape is to buy small press books. Buy them at indie bookstores, ask for them at your libraries. The big publishers have proven they are just another corporation. Small presses are responsible for innovation.

University presses to the rescue.
For those looking for a greater understanding of the Twin Cities and the histories of race, citizenship, and immigration in the US that have led to this moment, the university of minnesota press is sharing this list of books for greater understanding, some of which are open access.

BOOKSELLERS! Please consider voting for EPIC AND LOVELY, a September '25 IndieNext pick. My book got very little publicity owing to the fact that it was published by a small press, so this would be a much-appreciated boost. Thank you for considering.

While independent bookstores are giving out free whistles, hosting protest sign making events, and donating proceeds to mutual aid, Amazon is *checks notes* providing technology that assists ICE in their terrorizing of communities.

Independent bookstores deserve your support. Amazon does not.

I'm not going to AWP.

Feeling like shit about myself on my big birthday is bad for the head and soul. But please do swing by the WVU Press table and take a look at my baby-book-book.

These videos of women sitting on the toilet pretending to be taking a dump with their chonies on and clutching their middles are starting to make me mad. Like, quit targeting me, algo. I poop just fine. Not all middle-aged women.

The river of my heart is the Mill River in Western Mass.
My favorite Twitter prompt was "RT this with your home river," so reskeet this with your home river.

Mine is the Patuxent.

In the fall, a group called Literary Portland for Palestine asked Portland Book Festival to divest from Wells Fargo sponsorship funding. They've since grown into a collective working to raise awareness. And because they're a literary organization, they're doing it with poems.
Literary Portland for Palestine Plans Readings, Still Asks Portland Book Fest To Divest
At Portland Book Festival, in November, you may have noticed an icon on t-shirts, posters, and social media of Literary Arts' red umbrella dropping bombs. The graphic read "Drop Wells Fargo" and "Lite...

Would you buy it and put it on all pictures of the Donald and his minions you see?

Looking at new fiction coming out this spring. Did everyone have an affair with a professor in college? Or did every publisher decide that what we really need is more professor affair reckoning books?

I started reading SERVICE by John Tottenham. Am I supposed to agree with the set-up, that there's something wrong with being almost 50 and working at a bookstore?

He must be terribly good looking because he got a lot of reviews for a small press book.
