Author of the epic fantasy adventure Servants of the Moon and Sun series: an epic fantasy reimagining of Sleeping Beauty. What if Maleficent was Aurora's mother and what if she wasn't really evil?

Sepp from The Path of Poison is my youngest character at 18-19 years old. His youth is NOT a benefit: the mental faculties of an adult, but no experience. No idea where to go or what to do. Good kid, but makes rash decisions with only a natural reticence to stem the tide.
For this week's #CreativesConcourse, we discuss our heroes!

Who is the youngest protagonist in your main cast, or who's your youngest MC if you have multiple WIPs? Does their youth serve as more of a benefit or hindrance to accomplishing their goals?

My answer below, as usual!

Some people are very good at writing sex and some people are good at believing that they are good at writing sex, the first is a tremendously impressive skill and the second is what makes for deeply uncomfortable author presentations at science fiction conventions
There's nothing wrong with literary porn, but some of the crap those guys wrote was "Have you actuallly ever HAD sex?"

For a big part of Sed’s life, concrete and steel were all he knew. He's fine with the outdoors (to a degree), but feels much more at home in cities, and even moreso aboard a spaceship. You're not going to find him roughing it in the wild willingly.
Tell me more about your #AwesomeCharacters

How does your character feel about nature?

Do they like the outdoors? Have good survival skills?

Or do they prefer the comforts and amenities of a city?

Some combination of both?

Today's author discourse reminds me of when I was in a library-run youth writing group

The lady running it said "I don't know anyone who makes a living entirely off book sales. They teach or edit or SOMETHING else"

I was determined to become the exception

Then I started Weeknight Writers

Contemplating a creature design for a species that moves using the magnetic currents of the planet. Its body would accumulate high powered magnetic material through diet/exposure & possibly roll, maybe swim or fly, with this as its power source.

I'm back in action, friends. For real this time. It's been a hellish year, but I'm salvaging the rest. I have an immense backlog of creative things I've been wanting to announce & share. I entered my "soft reboot era" this month, so I was inspired to make a new illustration. 1/4 🧵

For my current WIP story, Bethany is the youngest daughter (albeit adopted) in her family. Age 13.

Her youth is neither a benefit nor a hindrance. She just unfortunately catches the eye of the Fairy Queen & Prince, who desire her to be their new mortal "shared companion"

I guess as of now we can officially say the Faumen War is over 😁

However, another recent war was the Fifty Years War between Galstein & Corlati. It began when a heated border dispute escalated & ended once Galstein advanced into Corlati territory.

#NovemberWorldbuilders Does your fictional world have any wars in its history that are now over? What was the conflict about? What were the repercussions of it?
