I love fairy tale stories, Cinderella ones in particular.
For romance I recommend literally Cinderella (Disney) for nostalgia, Pride and Prejudice (BBC 1995), Ever After (1998), and Working Girl (1987) also nostalgia for me.

The Triempery's laws are made by humans but in part they are "kept" by the godborn, whose gift for building consensus around those laws means the Triempery's people feel these laws are whole and right.
Laws are administered by courts. Khelds have their own courts.
