It's literally all projection, exhibit one million
Excerpt from NY Mag piece:

Noem could be warm and friendly only to turn it off moments later. Once, a former staffer recalled, a supporter brought Noem flowers, which Noem pretended to love but then had a staffer throw in the trash as soon as her constituent left. “She was rolling her eyes and said, ‘Ugh, I can’t stand these people,’” she said. “It made me wonder whether she was bad-mouthing me behind my back.”

Over 40% of corn grown in Indiana is used to make ethanol that cars burn. One acre of corn yields about 16,500 vehicle-miles per year of ethanol, which sounds high until you realize that one acre of solar yields about 2,700,000 vehicle-miles per year: 16,000% more driving for a given plot of land.

I haven't rewatched the whole thing, but from what I recall, Wolf Blizter gets most of his points by running the board in the D.C. Sports category and strikes out pretty much everywhere else

A Greek millionaire who went to Cambridge couldn't translate "The Last Supper" from Italian to English. "It's something like the final something."

alright, I was misremembering it somewhat. Blitzer is actually in the lead until the end, and Stone rockets to a commanding lead in Final Jeopardy. Huffington was never competitive. (Blitzer answered the question below with "David," lol)
The final scores in a Jeopardy match between Wolf Blitzer, Arianna Huffington, and Oliver Stone. Blitzer is at $4100, Huffington at $300, and Stone at $15,000. The Final Jeopardy question: "The Italian name of this 15th Century masterpiece is 'L'ultima cena'"

the actual episode doesn't seem to be on YouTube anymore, but there's still a video titled "45 grams of fat! - Fat stopper ad from Oliver Stone's Jeopardy show appearance." It's real, it happened. I saw it. Oliver Stone appears to be stoned the whole game www.youtube.com/watch?v=aAKN...

What makes this funnier is that it's not the only time Wolf Blitzer has been completely embarrassed at Celebrity Jeopardy. Oliver Stone wiped the floor with him, in a match where he couldn't even keep up with Arianna Huffington. he's a real life SNL Celebrity Jeopardy character

nice to be reminded that there was probably a good reason I got blocked by him on Twitter

This one highway is projected to cost 85% of what CA has spent on high-speed rail over 15 years and hundreds of miles. If we can afford this, we can afford high-speed rail.

The entire proposed Highway 37 Solano-Marin super bridge is estimated to cost $11 billion, all to replace an existing road between a couple of suburbs. And it's proposed at 114 feet wide.

For comparison, the Golden Gate Bridge is 90 feet wide.

Caltrans has released a cross section for the ultimate (raised viaduct) version of SR-37.

Now maybe I'm just being paranoid, but if you were building a road that you planned to keep at 4 lanes wide, I don't think it would look like this.

“One of the chants that has become ubiquitous at these protests at Broadview is, ‘Love your neighbor, love your God, save your soul and quit your job,’” said Black, who pastors at the First Presbyterian Church of Chicago. “Everybody chants that.” ⚓️

Wanna learn more about the pastor in this photo?

I talked to him yesterday.

He's currently part of a lawsuit against DHS, in part due to this exact moment: religionnews.com/2025/10/07/i...

Just remembered this jaw-dropping graph by @oceansclimatecu.bsky.social showing the rate of change in CO2 during the previous two deglaciations of the Pleistocene (which, as a fun aside, featured ~400 feet of sea level rise) as compared with today

One thing people should know is that Choe works for Turning Point USA, Charlie Kirk's group, and was at the WH on behalf of that group

Jonathan Choe to Trump: "Another group right now that is behind antifa and working with antifa very closely based on the research that we have right now that we're gonna give to you and your team are the Democratic Socialists of America."

anyway Stephen Miller is going to declare that DSA membership is a criminal federal isn't he

I am fondly recalling the time I saw a black bloc kid smack Jonathan Choe's phone to the ground while he was recording at a protest action

so many liberals live in a fantasy version of the world. will vast areas of the tropics be desertified and the Ganges delta largely underwater due to climate change? doesn't matter, that won't push migration to the north because line always goes up
a post from Bluesky user William B. Fuckley reading:

"immigration is good and it should be far easier to come to the developed world legally, but even ignoring the quite strong political complications of doing so, we only have a couple decades before the developing world gets rich enough that immigration is no longer a foolproof "add people" button"

everyone who's claiming to not see this should play some Star Wars Battlefront II matches. it's very clear that a bunch of people are having fun saying something which isn't *quite* the n-word but can be deployed like it

yeah, I wouldn't think of 'slop' as a slur at all; it's just a pejorative way to refer to the output of AI, which doesn't reify AI in the same way 'clanker' etc. do
monteurhulot.bsky.social
using a slur against an AI isn't racism against a computer, but it's allowing that there is a concrete entity towards which one could express antipathy to, which is already accepting more of the AI boosters' position than their critics should.
