I've said before that I feel like cissexual is a terrible term; it tells marginalised people that they are part of the dominant in-group, which makes it unfit for purpose.

Worked with TWO different guys at my last job who had histories of using "polyamory" as an excuse for cheating. Always hated when the conversation came up because ppl were SO willing to accept that that's just what poly is. Options were basically keep quiet or face the lions. It sucked.
Ultimately, she experienced an awful *monogamous* relationship and concluded that all poly people share the same reasoning and motivations as her manipulative ex.
It really sucks to see someone fall down a bigotry rabbit hole over legitimate trauma that she doesn't process in a healthy way.

tl;dr there's a reason for the term transsexual and it's not perfectly clean in theory but it has a fairly observable purpose behind wanting to be called that but it's pretty clear you'd only call another trans person cis to fuck with them and say you're not. We all know this.
